From there,they set out to fi nd a new home, and many, many years later, the story really starts. Soon, youmeet the leading lady who leaves the shipyard in a fi t of anger alone on a small ship. Theship is hit by one or more asteroids and disabled. She is rescued by the villainous maraudersand eventually rescued from them by her shipyard friends. From there the chase is on with aculmination in a fi nal disaster.The Unmaking of an Enemy begins where the fi rst one ends. There is a birth in space provingthat it is possible after many generations of not being able to carry a pregnancy to term in space.They fi nd that their nemesis is still alive and the chase is on again. The book ends with thediscovery that the explosion created a rift in space.The Enemies Become Friends begins by the enemies and friends fi nding out that all of the spacedebris from the explosion is disappearing into the anomaly. Eventually, everyone is pardoned ifthey help evacuate all of mankind from all of the settlements. The book ends by fi nding out thatthe probes and a ship navigated the anomaly to the other side, and messages are coming back thru.The Enemies and Friends thru the Vortex is the continuation of a story which refuses to end.The fl eet of combined mankind sends a volunteer vessel thru the vortex. It is manned withenough volunteers to man the empty ship if found intact. With a great deal of diffi culty, amessage eventually gets back to the fl eet about their safety and the diffi culties experienced onthe ride thru the vortex. One by one the fl eet attempts to travel thru the vortex.
